Epileptology and epilepsy surgery

The epilepsy and epilepsy surgery care programme regularly participates in clinical trials. Even though a lot of patients with epilepsy become seizure free with currently available treatments, the ongoing search for new treatments is useful. For instance, one can search for drugs that are more powerful or drugs that have a smaller risk for side effects compared to currently available drugs.
